IN CASE OF NEW CONSTRUCTION, F1RSITHE DECKCONCRETE WLL BE PLACED LEAVING A CAVITY FORTHE EXPANSION JOINT BY FILLING SAND IN THE CAVITY AREA. AFTERALLTHE DECK SLABSAND APPROACH SLABS HAVE BEEN CONCRETED, THE EXPANSION JOINTWILL BE PLACED AS PER DRAWINGSAND WITH ADDITIONAL REINFORCEMNTASSPECIFIED, ASPHALTIC SURFACING WILL BE DONE LAST,
