i was once called a nobody: tahiera's tahieraisms
DESCRIPTION
Tahiera Monique Brown presents the story of how she rose above the pain and suffering that she endured as a hostage and what her life was like afterwards, when she had to regain her memory. In the struggle to remember and to learn to survive, sometimes people said cruel and heartless things to her, but there was one that tore deeply within her soul. She was told this when she was sent from the country as a child, to being a battered wife, to being a hostage, to learning to live in society suffering with amnesia, "You're never going to amount to anything. You're NOBODY." Today Tahiera has won numerous awards as a speaker that motivates an audience of thousands to stand as one and applaud her message of hope. Tahiera's slogan that she repeated to herself daily, especially during those times was, "Hold You Head Up High and Keep Your Dreams Alive."TRANSCRIPT
