I wish I had . . .
. . . read the Bible with my
child beginning when he
was small. I read stories
to him every night yes,
but if I could go back in
time I would read from
the Bible every morning
at breakfast-time to bet-
ter prepare him for the
day, and for life.

I wish I had . . .
...done things differently.Regrets.From those who HAVE raised kids to those who ARE raising kids. Here are some of the things that we would have done differently.
I wish I had . . .
The purpose of this
book is to impart wis-
dom to those raising
children from those
who have raised chil-
dren and the regrets
that we have.
We wish we had done
some things differ-
ently.
“The days seem long,
but the years are short.”
Dr. Tim Kimmel
I wish I had . . .
. . . savored every last
morsel of time instead
of trying so hard to be
the perfect parent.
Shawn L.
I wish I had . . .
. . . taken my kids with
me to church, all of us
together as a family. I see
families in church every
Sunday and wish it was
my family.
Suzie M.
I wish I had . . .
. . . been a stay-at-home
mom and coddled my
precious children with
a balance of firm, loving
discipline.
Valerie T.
I wish I had . . .
. . . not hovered over my
child so much and instead
taught him to be indepen-
dent. In the long run I feel
that he would have been
more confident.
Tanja C.
I wish I had . . .
. . . held a ‘What’s your
beef, night.’ Where the
kids could voice a
complaint about their
parents and my only
response could be to say
‘I’m sorry.’
Kendra K.
I wish I had . . .
. . . turned on some
music and danced with
him more often.
Debbie S.
I wish I had . . .
. . . been nicer and picked
better father figures to
be in my childrens lives.
They didn’t deserve the
poor choices I made.
Melissa O.
I wish I had . . .
. . . taught my children
my native language....
Spanish!
Lily W.
I wish I had . . .
. . . read Bible passages
to him every morning at
breakfast-time to
better prepare him for the
day ahead, and for life.
Debbie S.
I wish I had . . .
. . . taught them early on
to do their chores so that
it became second nature,
like brushing their teeth.
