Title: Jetaire® HPC-F (CAS) Field Testing Revision: NC
Issue Date: 09-12-2013 Approval: Matthew Stallard
1 PURPOSE
1.1 To provide a sequenced field test procedure for the Jetaire® HPC-F PC Air Unit (CAS unit), the CAS master controller, and the interface between the pits, the CAS master controller, and Jetaire® HPC-F units. This field testing procedure will address both the functional operation and compliance to the required airflow, pressure, and temperature performance per Section 23 00 99 dated September 23, 2010.
2 SCOPE
2.1 This test procedure applies to all JBT AeroTech or sub-contract personnel that are assigned the responsibility to perform the field test of Jetaire® HPC-F units. No technical deviations from the required test results will be accepted without the proper engineering disposition.
2.2 The intent of this test procedure is to verify the Jetaire® HPC-F unit's PC Air unit's systems are operational and operating in compliance to design parameters as per 23 00 99 and approved submission from JBT Aero Tech.
2.3 While the performance of the Jetaire® HPF-C (CAS) unit and the CAS master controller fall under the scope of JBT AeroTech, Jetway Systems, the installation of these items and pit systems are provided by others. Responsibility of the Jetaire® HPC-F and CAS master controller installation and provisions for, installation of, and function of the pit system are not the responsibility of JBT AeroTech, Jetway Systems.
2.4 A field testing procedure and record will be used. Provisions for recording the results for five HPC-F (CAS) units and a single master controller will be provided in this procedure. Testing for all five CAS units can be done at a single pit due to the nature of the common plenum between ducting. Master controller testing will be done using all 7 pit systems and all five CAS units.
This procedure is the property of JBT Aero Tech Jetway Systems and may not be reproduced or distributed without the written consent of Jetway's Quality Management.

4.7.3 It will be necessary to secure the end of the high pressure ducting to prevent it from moving around during the testing.
5 General Test Procedures Documentation
5.1 All tests shall be used to ensure compliance with the JBT AeroTech submittal package as it pertains to specification 23 00 99 dated 23 September 2010. Each test is to be conducted as specified and then recorded on the appropriate portion on the field testing procedure and record .
6 HPC-F (CAS) Unit Installation Check
6.1 Visual Inspection
6.1.1 Verify the HPC-F (CAS) unit has been installed according to the HPC-F (CAS) unit installation instructions. Reference JBT document titled "Jetaire HPC-F Installation Instructions Beaufort".
6.1.2 Verify the HPC-F (CAS) unit is fully functional. It may be necessary to functionally test the unit before starting the field test procedure. This will ensure a smooth and compliant field test.

7.5.3 Depress the E-STOP button and verify the unit will not start. 7.5.4 Depress the E-STOP button after the unit is running and verify the
unit immediately stops. 7.5.5 Verify the LCD display Operator Interface Terminal (OIT) is
operating and reporting values.
7.6 Airflow and Static Pressure
Flow Requirement: 46 lb/min (-1/+1) Pressure Requirement: 5.25 psig (-0.25/+0.5) Temperature:
Maximum Temperature: 55°F Minimum Temperature: 35°F
With the hose deployed and connected to the 4" gate valve select START on the pit push button control station. Measure and record the flow and pressure in the JBT AeroTech flow meter. Record the flow and static pressure reported at the CAS Master Controller OIT. Due to the limitations of and timing of the testing, the testing shall be done at prevailing ambient conditions. Calculate the flow from the reported LlP from the JBT AeroTech flow meter, Shortridge ADM 870 and Dwyer Series 475 Mark Ill manometer using the following equations:
