Overview


The NYISO ICAP AMS Enhancements include: Proj B520: Behind-the-Meter: Net Generation Proj B444: ICAP AMS Enhancements Phase 3

The ICAP Manual changes were already posted as V 6.34 under Manuals “Under Review”. (Target V 6.34 publish date is 12/13/16)

Updates to the ICAP Automated User’s Guide for the Screen and Upload/Download changes summarized in this presentation are pending formal approval and publishing.

Software was deployed November 16, 2016

ICAP AMS System Requirements

The following are required for MP interactive access to the ICAP AMS Microsoft Internet Explorer (V 10 or higher) or

Mozilla Firefox with Java Script Enabled Minimum 1024x768 screen resolution A NAESB compliant digital certificate is required for

all users in 2017 A high-speed internet connection

Certify Menu

The following options have been added to the Certify Screens Menu:


Bilateral Agreements Screen


MP Views, Creates, Confirms Bilateral Agreement If Purchaser intends to ultimately Export Purchased Capacity, then For Export is checked

and PTID Name is specified by the Seller. Import Right # specified by Seller only for confirmed Import Right. Capacity associated with

an Import Right cannot be subsequently exported.

MP creates transaction record(s) with MIS Transaction ID and MW value for any Imports, Exports, or Wheel Through Transactions Type dropdown list includes Export Bilateral Transaction [EBT], new Export Purchased

Capacity [EPC], ECR Bilateral, ECR Auction Sales, External Auction Sales, First Come First Serve Right [FCFSR], Grandfathered Import Right [GFR], Unforced Capacity Deliverability Right [UDR], and new Wheel Through Transaction [Wheel].

Assign Transaction IDs Screen


MP creates transaction record(s) with MIS Transaction ID and MW value for any Imports, Exports, or Wheel Through Transactions New Notice and new Interface Information screen sections to improve MP’s ability to monitor

Obligation Remaining ICAP MW for Import Rights [GFR/FCFSR] on Fully Allocated Import Interfaces.

Assign Transaction IDs


Using the screen, the MP creates Transaction Detail records to associate each External Transaction record with one or more Transaction Detail records to designate MIS Transaction ID [MIS TID] and Capacity MW.

The “Assign Transaction IDs” screen will provide this capability for all Import, Export, Wheel, and UDR external transaction Types described below. EBT EPC ECR Bilateral ECR Auction Sales Ext Auction Sales FCFSR GFR UDR Wheel

Assign Transaction IDs


MP creates Transaction Details record with MIS Transaction ID # and Capacity MW value for all Imports, Exports, UDRs and Wheel Through Transactions via the Add Transaction Details screen section Capacity MW are specified as ICAP for GFR, FCFSR, UDR and Wheel transaction types. Capacity MW are specified as UCAP for EBT, EPC, ECR Auction, ECR Bilateral, and

External Auction transaction types.

Exports Screen


MP creates Export Bilateral Transaction [EBT] or Export Purchased Capacity [EPC] Export transaction record The Export transaction has a Source Location, Sink Location, UCAP MW, Type [EBT or

EPC], and PTID specified. The MP exports his own capacity via an Export Bilateral Transaction [EBT] or exports his

purchased (internal) capacity via an Export Purchased Capacity [EPC] Export record.

Wheels Through Screen


MP creates Wheel Through transaction record The Wheel Through transaction has a Source Location, Sink Location, External Generator

PTID (if NYISO qualified Resource), and Capacity MW (ICAP) specified.

Navigate to View Buyer Awards screen from Bids/Offers.
