The First View Design Lab course is carried out through the international collaboration of the different academic staffs of the product design engineering departments of the Universidad of EAFIT (Medellín, Colombia) and the TU-Delft (Delft, Holanda). This project is formulated to take over 7 academic weeks, within 2 intensive workshop weeks, with a journey though the various disciplines of design and engineering partnering with different Colombian companies sharing the same vision. Participants will learn different design process methodologies and use the tools necessary to carry out a multidisciplinary project, familiarizing themselves with the different steps of the multidisciplinary creative process. It is aimed at companies, professionals and students of the Product Design Engineering and related fields, who wish to experience, experiment an try out new strategies, methods and tools for product innovation in a design lab learning environment. Throughout the First View Design Lab, basic theoretical and practical aspects of design and engineering will be covered through workshops and lectures, encompassing all the main subjects for the professional exercise of industrial design and project culture focusing on co-creating within the industry. The First View Design Lab is a space for exploring, training, research and innovation where participants work on a creative and multidisciplinary project. The course culminates with a product proposal for the companies involved. The main language for this First View Design Lab will be English.
