LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

WHAT WE HAVE NOT DONE IN ITV-ICE MAKERS SINCE 1982For more than three decades ITV has been dedicated to manufacturing reliable and profitable ice machines, and to providing a flexible and personal service. Nothing more... nothing less. Because over all this time we could have done other things. For example, we could have tried making other products that are completely foreign to the needs of the hotel and catering industry; or merged with a larger company with an enormous variety of products but also of interests; or we might simply have sold out; or we could even have gone public on the Stock Market to seek windfall profits...These are not contemptible options, and from time to time we have had to look into them, but in the end always been this conviction that all of those who work in ITV feel deeply: we like to manufacture ice machines and we know how to make them. And in view of the results, our customers like what we do.

We are a small family business, where all of us have first and last names, and our customers know them. The objective of ITV is not to speculate with its stock market value, nor are its products limited to filling in the gaps of the vast range of products of a multinational business. It is much simpler: we manufacture only ice machines with the latest technology, the most impeccable design and the best value for money. LO QUE NO HEMOS HECHO EN ITV-ICE MAKERS DESDE 1982Durante más de tres décadas ITV se ha dedicado a fabricar máquinas de hielo fiables y rentables, y a prestar un servicio ágil y cercano. Ni más… ni menos. Porque en todo este tiempo podríamos haber hecho otras cosas. Por ejemplo, probar con productos completamente ajenos a las necesidades de los hosteleros; o integrarnos en una empresa más grande con una enorme variedad de productos pero también de intereses; o directamente haber cambiado de manos; o bien cotizar en Bolsa para buscar rentabilidades atípicas… No son opciones desdeñables, y en ocasiones ha habido que estudiarlas, pero al final siempre se ha impuesto una convicción que tenemos interiorizada todos los que trabajamos en ITV: nos gusta fabricar máquinas de hielo y sabemos cómo hacerlas. Y a la vista de los resultados, a nuestros clientes les gusta lo que hacemos.

Somos una empresa pequeña y familiar, en la que todos tenemos nombre y apellidos, y nuestros clientes los conocen. El objetivo de ITV no es especular con su valor bursátil, ni sus productos se limitan a rellenar huecos dentro de la vasta oferta de una empresa multinacional. Es mucho más sencillo: fabricamos sólo máquinas de hielo con la última tecnología, el diseño más cuidado y la mejor relación calidad-precio.
