Plant Controller Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Plant Controlling Manager. Duties of the position includes working

with focal points and directors within their departmental areas as the financial business

partner in the application of the budgeting process, analysis of actual to budget variance

reporting and other financial and controlling support activities.

As plant controller for core facilities, legacy machining, mall activity and filter

production, helped to create a business partner relationship with the directors and also

trained directors in the functionality and reporting of cbFC for actuals and training in the use

of planning through Hyperion.

Accomplishments:

Took charge and helped develop the cbFC month end process in collaboration with

DTNA – initially within the finance function and then within the controlling

function, being the DDC month end controlling contact for DTNA.

Successfully achieved a two day financial month end close in close coordination with

finance and controlling areas within DDC and DTNA.

DTNA contact for DDC internal order issues and created issue correction

documentation for delegation of responsibility of scrap and warranty order types.

Also taught and delegated other tasks such as miscellaneous billing plans, derivation

tables, warranty postings and other items.

Took the lead in the initial submission of the fixed overhead portion of the 2011

operating plan.

Worked with nonproduction material manager and operations in TOS (Lean Indirect

Intensification Program) implementation of shortened requisition approvals.

Detroit Diesel Corporation, Detroit, MI Nov 2007-Mar 2010

Common Basic Financial Controls (cbFC/SAP ECC 6.0) Team Member Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Project Manager. Responsible for implementation, maintenance, support

and liaison between Daimler Central, DTNA and DDC as a team member incorporating the

FI/CO modules of a customized ECC 6.0 SAP system (cbFC) specifically the general ledger,

inventory, product costing and additionally took the position of the controlling module team

member until a replacement was made. Duties of the position included working with the

business users in understanding the new system, working with IT in documenting and

coordinating various customized interfaces and writing functional specifications. This also

entailed being involved in the lifecycle process through data cleansing, data mapping,

writing derivation tables and migration concepts.

Accomplishments:

Led daily meetings discussing sales, G/L, inventory and product costing DDC

processes with representatives from business, consulting and Daimler Central,

defining DDC processes and allocating work package responsibility.

Have been involved in overall discussions beyond the scope of current

responsibilities including A/P accruals, and material master and creating the

cleansing and mapping documentation of legacy inventory which was used as an

example for subsequent inventory mapping documents.

Led training classes for SAP navigational and administered other core training

courses.
