1. Introduction of Moodle Ⅱ. Moodle Based VLE

We can collaborate through Wiki, Blog, Glossary, Social network, Forum, Database, Lesson, and Workshop.For example, we can:- brainstorm, design group, track research, ‘jigsaw’ contribute,

build collective argument, cluster-maps histories of achieve-ment

- Have students publish, reflect, clarify, keep notes, group work, run quick response items, use key tags

- Have students build own entries, cross-reference, paraphrase, link, explain, define, refine

- Find, connect, and share with people with similar interests- Provoke/moderate a debate, guide discussion, view, rate and

reflect on peer contribution- Jointly create store and search class collections, revision

sheets, photo galleries, lists of useful websites, book reviews- Brainstorm, develop, refine, conclude peer-assess a topic- Present info, branch and scaffold tasks to learners’ ability

We can evaluate with 1) Quiz, 2) Grade, 3) Choice, 4) Assign-ment, 5) Scales, 6) Survey, 7) Ratings, and 8) Gradebook.For example, we can- Check and build understanding with multiple choice, true/

false, cloze, essay, drag’ n ’drop, short answer- Set your own either ABCD, 1-5, 0-100, outcome, standards,

competencies- Quickly and easily gather opinions, permission, selections,

votes- Write and submit online, offline, offer feedback, grade, re-

submit, upload one or more files portfolio style- Create own feedback formats, self-peer evaluation made easy- Use pre-set surveys to check on ways of constructivist learn-

ing- Seek opinions, self and peer evaluate, run competitions, rate

entries- Have all grades in one place, cumulate scores, penalties,

notes, customise permissions

1 Log-in: Users can register, upload a photo for identification, and log on. The main page displays1) the time spent on the system, 2) names and ID numbers, 3) messages that the user gets, and 4) files that he or she stored.

2 Logo: The logos of Columbia MoE and RIC need to be placed. Also, logo for ITTP also needs to be developed. 3 Navigation: Basic menus such as announcement, resources, Q&A are placed for the convenience.

4 Dashboard: Recent postings in Announcement and board are displayed so that users can get the most recent in-formation.

5 Entrance of virtual classroom: Classes that users are taking are located in homepage as well as main page. Brief descriptions are also provided.
