Welcome back Mr Marzinotto from paternity leave. We hope you had a wonderful time with your beautiful new family. Year 6 Transition Today our Year 6 attended the transition day at Woolgoolga High School. After a talk from the principal Mr Guy Wright, the students were placed in temporary classes and experienced lessons in various subject areas. Thanks to the high school for organising a BBQ lunch. We hope everyone had an enjoyable day. Pop up disco Last week students enjoyed a pop-up disco . This was to say thank you to everyone for working so hard throughout the year. Corindi’s Got Talent We certainly do! We are up to round 3 this Thursday. Our appreciative audience has been treated to some fabulous acts. Thanks to Mrs Wiggins and Miss Johnson for organising this great activity. Parent helper morning tea Our morning tea to say thank you to all our parent helpers is on tomorrow morning at 10.30am. We hope to see as many people as possible.
Gold morning tea Our Gold Award morning tea is on this Thursday. Students who receive their Gold Award between now and Thursday morning are also invited to attend. Letters home to parents This year parents will be notified by mail if their child is receiving an award at Presentation Evening. They will be posted today. Survey We have a short survey that we hope you can fill in to assist us with planning in 2019. Please return it to the office by next Tuesday.

Year 6 News... Farewell: Notes and money are due back this Friday. We are asking for a baby /toddler photo of each Year 6 student. This will be returned. Please make sure their name is on the back and best if placed in an envelope or plastic bag. If you would like a copy of the farewell photos please send in a USB with your name on it as soon as possible and they will be copied to it after the event. Office News… COOKING FEES & WORKBOOK FEES:
Thank you to those families who have paid the subject and voluntary school contributions for 2018. At the start of the year all students were issued with a Soundwaves Spelling Book or, in Kindergarten, a Handwriting workbook, and all students have participated in cooking, and eaten what they have cooked once a term. If you have not paid these fees could you please do so by the end of the year so we can run these worthwhile programs again next year.
...Reading Resort News... It’s time to look in bookshelves and under beds for lost Library books. Thank you for helping your child return their books this week. If you cannot find your book please send in a note so stocktake numbers can be finalised. ***ALL STUDENTS WITH NO OVERDUES AT THE END OF NEXT WEEK GO INTO THE DRAW FOR BOOK CLUB POSTERS OF THEIR CHOICE – see the display in the Library!

Year 2 News... Spelling homework was given out yesterday. No maths homework this week. In maths we continue with our revision work ready for next year. Our writing and grammar focus is on expression and visual vocabulary. I would like to take the opportunity to thank Amy, Tracey and Stacey for their help in the classroom during the year. Also Aunty Ange for her work with Gumbaynggirr Aboriginal Language classes. Our excursion is on Friday and will include the study of Aboriginal bush tucker, coastal environments and the changes made by human influence. A great learning experience for all of the children. 2018 PICNIC DAY Woolgoolga Swimming Pool
Friday Dec 14
Friday 14th December is the school’s Picnic Day at Woolgoolga
Swimming Pool. Students will be traveling by bus, leaving the school
at approximately 9.10 am. Students will be divided into groups which
will rotate around activities. Students who cannot swim confidently
will be identified by a red wrist band.
Please return your permission payment envelope and blue swimming
ability slip by Monday Dec 10. Just tear off the front info sheet and
keep for your information and return the slip and envelope.

out one each and return to the gold box by Mon Dec 10. Thank you!
P&C News… Canteen Last day of canteen this term will be Thursday December 13. Specials are Lasagne $4 Fish Burger/Wrap $4 Macaroni Cheese $2 (add 50c for Tuna) Unfortunately there are no more Spinach Triangles, Spaghetti Bolognese or Taco Boats left. At this stage Canteen for 2019 will only be open Thursday and Friday. All positions in canteen are volunteer and we are always looking for helpers. Please contact the P&C or the school office if you are able to spare some time. Presentation Night P&C will be holding a cake stall. Donations of slices, biscuits or cupcakes would be much appreciated. We will also be selling bottled water. Uniforms Uniforms can be purchased any day via an order form available from the school office. The uniform shop will be open on the pupil free day on Tuesday January 29, 2019 as well as Wed, Thur and Fri morning of that week. Cash payment is preferred however direct deposit into the P&C account is available. Clothing paid for by bank deposit will be held until confirmation. Thankyou to everyone for a great 2018!
