AssociateProfessor Dr Izham Bin Datuk Zainal Abidinjoined theUniversitiTenagaNasional (UNITEN)asa lecturer in theCollegeofEngineering in2002.He receivedhisOrdinaryNationalDiploma inEngineering from Coventry Technical College in 1994. He thenfurther his study into the bachelor’s degree level and receivedhisBEng inElectrical Engineering from theUniversityof Southamptonin 1997. He was later obtained his PhD in Electrical Engineering(Power)fromtheStrathclydeUniversityin2002.Dr Izham has been very active in research and has published a significant number ofinternational research articles in renowned journals and conferences based on hisengineeringresearchfindings.Hehasalsohandledvariousgrantssuchas Intensificationof Research in Priority Areas (IRPA) and eScience Fund from Ministry of Science,TechnologyandInnovationMalaysia(MOSTI).HiscurrentresearchinterestincludesPowerSystem Studies, Self-Healing Systems, Smart Grid, and Voltage Stability Studies. Hisresearch expertise established over the years have also resulted him being invited toprovidemanyconsultancyworks.

Professor Dr. Rajasvaran Logeswaran studied his B.Eng (Hons)Computingat ImperialCollegeLondon,UnitedKingdom,underaTelekom Malaysia scholarship; and completed his Master ofEngineering Science (M.Eng.Sc.) aswell asPh.D. (Engineering) atMultimediaUniversity,Malaysia.He was recognized as the JCS 75th Anniversary Scholar for hisMastersachievementsand laterwenton todohispost-doctoralresearch in Seoul, Korea under theBrainGainMalaysia international fellowship&post-doctoralprogrammeaswellasaBrainKorea21post-doctoralscholar.LogeswaranisrecognizedaoneofthepioneersofMultimediaUniversity,whereheservedatvariouspositionat theFacultyofEngineeringandasDeputyDeanof the Institute forPostgraduateStudies.HealsoservedastheDeanofEngineering,ScienceandTechnologyatNilaiUniversity,Malaysiabeforemovingon tohis currentpositionas theaProfessorandDeanofGraduateStudiesattheAsiaPacificUniversityofTechnologyandInnovation(APU).His voluntary service has gained him a government medal for long and commendableservice. Logeswaran is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and ElectronicsEngineers(IEEE),andSecretaryoftheIEEESignalProcessingSocietyMalaysiaChapter.Hewas the General Chair of IEEE ICSIPA 2013, the chapter’s flagship conference, and theGeneral Co-Chair of IEEE SCORED 2011. His research interests aremainly inmultimediadataprocessing,datacompression,neuralnetworksandnaturaluserinterfaces,withovera hundred publications in books, peer-reviewed journals and international conferenceproceedings.

(with honors) and Ph.D.degreesinelectricalandelectronicengineeringfromtheUniversityof Notrhumbria, UK, and Universiti Sains Malaysia, in 1998 and2006,respectively.From2006uptoJune2009,hewasattachedatUniversitiSainsMalaysiaasaLecturer.Currently,he isattachedtotheUniversitiKebangsaanMalaysiaasaAssocProg.Hisareasofspecializationareradiowavepropagationinsatellitecommunicationsystem,radar,antennadesign,RF,andmicrowave.HiscurrentresearchcollaborationiswiththeAssociationofRadioIndustriesandBusiness(ARIB)JapantoanalyzetherainfadeatKu-bandintropicalclimateusingsatelliteinvolvingcountriessuchasThailand,Philippines,Indonesia,andFiji.
