A message from your President Bill Wilson
The dace for our Spring meeting is
rapidly approaching. The meeting is
scheduled for Thursday, May 6, ar
11:00 A.M. in the Faculty Dining
Room, Central Campus. At chis
meeri'ng we will honor newly retired
faculty members and administrators
and elect officers for rhe 2004-2005
year. If you are interested in running
for any office-President, Vice
President, Secretary, Treasurer- give
me a call and let me know (561/967-
5063). We wil l also again have rhe
$50 gift cerriflcare to Atlantis Country
Club door pnze ar rhe meeting, to be
awarded to one lucky attendee.
Our Holiday Party at Atlantis Country
Club on December 6, 2003, was
another cheerful event. Fewer
members and guests arrended chis year,
perhaps because we had ro schedule a
Saturday instead of our usual Friday.
Some people were involved in
Christmas parades, pageants, and ocher
activities char were held on char
Saturday. This dace had been booked
early in January 2003, bur even then
all December Fridays were taken. So
as soon as chis party ended, I cracked
down a manager and secured a dace for
our 2004 celebration-Friday,
December 3, 2004, 11 :00 A.M. You
will receive more information lacer, bur
mark your calendars now so char well
meaning friends and family do nor
plan a cruise, trip, or parade for you
on that day!
Joan Young, Editor
Joyce and Jan Bussell
The Holiday Party is a grear
opportunity ro enjoy rhe company of
friends and colleagues, have good food,
and ger some great gifts. We now
hand our some door prizes in addirion
co rhe customary gift exchange.
Especially enjoyable at the lase party
was the moving of the piano into rhe
dining room for rhe spirited singing of
holiday so ngs. Thanks to Rurh
Graham (Mrs. Paul) fo r not on ly
playing the piano bur driving back to
her home ro pick up music for the
program.
Unfortunately, we have lost some long
time members this year ro dearh
Ginny Boorman and Walker Graham.
See you May 6!
