Results of the Survey• 90% of the students perceived that the ability to send the

instructor SMSs during class was useful.

• The instructor had a positive experience.

• The number of comments and questions received via the system were about 15 per class.

• 33.6% gave cost as the main inhibiting factor

Positive results can be achieved by encouraging students to bring their mobile phones out in the open and to use them to contribute to the class, and to their own learning – that is, by joining them instead of trying to beat them.
