IFA LEVEL 2 CERTIFICATE IN COACHING FOOTBALL (UEFA ‘C’ LICENCE)

Part 1 of the UEFA ‘B’ Licence (Level 3)

The UEFA ‘B’ Licence is divided into TWO PARTS. Part 1 is now the IFA ‘C’ Certificate and in order to progress to the second part, i.e. UEFA ‘B’ Licence, candidates must satisfy the criteria required as outlined below. The focus of this course is preparing players and teams up to the age of 16.

COURSE ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTSCandidates should be able to demonstrate having experience of coaching young players or school children. It is essential to have attended an IFA Level 1 Award. Candidates must also have an updated Level 1 Coach Education ID card which will form part of your application.

COURSE OUTLINECandidates must attend all theory and practical sessions as per course timetable which consists of a required minimum of 90 NGLHS (Notional Guided Learning Hours). Evidence of this will be demonstrated by the candidate to the national governing body (IFA) by:-

• Maintenance of session plans.

• Evidence of courses attended, e.g. First Aid, Coaching NI Courses, Child protection, etc.

• Accessing other learning materials, e.g. On Line Learning.

This Course includes the Association’s Coaching Disabled Footballers Award (Level 1) and there will be a theoretical assessment on the Laws of the Game (Pass mark 80%)

In addition 3 practical assessments will be carried out through the duration of the course based on 4v4 playing situations. The minimum standard to reach in assessments in order to progress to UEFA ‘B’ Licence is 2 passes, one of which must be the final assessment incorporating a 4v4 session.

If the candidate fails to meet the required practical standard at the 4v4 assessment, he/she will be permitted to have a maximum of two further re-assessments on a 4v4 topic. There will be an extra charge for any re-assessment.

All candidates who fulfill the criteria to the satisfaction of the IFA will receive an IFA/UEFA ‘C’ Certificate.

Candidates should bring writing materials and appropriate clothing and footwear for indoor lectures and outdoor practical sessions on grass. IFA branded sportswear will be given to each candidate.

COURSE FEE: £450 Payable prior to attending the course
