Students are advised not to contact the host professors directly, but rather to take the help of their Indian mentors to find suitable placements in Germany. The Indian mentor has to finalise the topic of the project in consultation and mutual agreement with his German counterpart.  Draft o f env isaged research project in Germany to be finalized through mutual agreement of Indian and German mentors with their signatures.  2 references from s enior academics from the applicant's field of study/research on the proforma available on our website. The referee’s title and academic status should be clearly indicated in this (with official rubber-stamp). These should be Confidential (in sealed envelopes) and should be recent-dated (these are not to be uploaded)  All chronologically arranged academic certificates and mark- sheets CGPA /CPI /SGPA, GATE /JAM /CEED score card (all copies must be attested)  One print out of t he application summary generated after submitting the document is required to be sent to the DAAD office through the respective Dean’s office.

    Application Procedure

    The application submission process is online. The link is available on https://portal.daad.de Scholarship programme number 57041433 under Personal Funding. All applications have to be submitted to the respective Deans office at the IIT. Direct applications will not be accepted. The IITs will set their own deadlines for receipt of applications, and will forward the ranking list of eligible students to the DAAD Office in New Delhi by 15th April 2015. Important: DAAD will not consider incomplete applications.
