EEPS was created through legislation and provides for incentives in the form of rebates for ComEd and/or Ameren Illinois utility customers. EEPS is designed to encourage those customers to purchase and install high efficiency electric equipment and systems to reduce electricity use and demand.

The Green Cleaning Schools Act requires the use of environmentally sensitive cleaning products in all Illinois K-12 schools (both public and private). The guidelines for this act have been in place for a full school year now.
