A word or two about the paper/project

• The project (draft, April 13, 9am; final paper, May 3, 9am) presents a "state of the art" literature and case review of one of the "emerging trends" covered in the.

• The project must extend and update material in the texts.

• Although brief summaries of materials in the texts may be presented as background, the project may not merely repeat; it must extend and update.

A word or two about the paper/project

• You are not expected to “take or defend” a position.

• You do not have to solve a problem.• You do not have to show that there is a problem.• You are not to try to prove or disprove the trend.• You are only asked to UPDATE THE TREND with

regard to current events (esp. in the last two years).

A word or two about the paper/project

• You DO NOT need to spend much time reviewing the status quo or defining the topic– As long as you get it right (check with me), a very brief

summary is enough.• Spend time and space updating the trend– Any new cases?– Any new laws?– Any new arguments?– Any new situations, changes in the status quo, data

about the trend?
