Should I encourage others to take part? Yes, we would greatly appreciate that. Please encourage all people in your congregation, including youth 13 years of age or older, to complete the survey. Do not choose just one person to represent your family or household in this survey. We want to hear from all of you! I share my email and / or a computer/laptop/tablet with a family member/friend and we both want to participate. Can we use the same email address/computer/laptop/tablet to complete the survey? Yes. Each individual, including youth 13 years of age or older can go to www.imnasurvey.ca to complete the survey. As many people as you wish can do the survey using the same computer. Once one person has completed the questionnaire and submitted their survey, the next user will need to go to www.imnasurvey.ca to start and complete a new questionnaire. Please note: If you leave the survey before submitting your answers, they will not be saved. You will still be able to go back to the survey and start over, but your previous responses will be lost. There a few people in my congregation who do not have access to a computer. Can they do the survey using my computer/laptop/tablet? Yes, you can invite anyone in your congregation to use your computer to do the survey. Can I – or anyone else do the survey using my smartphone? Yes, you can, but we recommend using a computer/laptop/tablet as it will be easier to read and navigate on a larger screen. If my session has expired can I still participate?

Yes,  but  if  the  session  expired  before  you  submitted  your  answers,  your  previous  responses  will  be  lost.  You  can  still  participate  by  going  back  to  the  survey  website  -‐  www.imna-‐survey.ca  and  start  the  survey  over.

Can  I  stop  working  on  my  questionnaire  and  complete  it  at  a  later  date?

No.    Once  you  start  the  survey,  you  must  complete  it  in  one  session  and  submit  your  answers.    If  you  leave  the  survey  before  submitting  your  answers,  they  will  not  be  saved.    You  will  still  be  able  to  go  back  to  the  survey  website  at  www.imna-‐survey.ca  and  start  over,  but  your  previous  responses  will  be  lost.

Do  I  need  a  password?

No,  you  do  not  need  a  password.    The  survey  is  completely  anonymous  -‐  your  privacy  will  be  maintained  and  your  answers  kept  completely  anonymous.

What  do  I  do  if  I  have  technical  difficulties  while  completing  the  questionnaire?      If  you  experience  technical  difficulties  that  are  not  addressed  in  the  FAQs,  please  send  an  email  to  [email protected]  with  the  subject  line  IMNA  Survey  and  someone  will  contact  you  within  2  business  days.    Please  note  that  we  can  only  answer  questions  related  to  the  survey  itself,  as  we  are  not  an  information  technology  (IT)  Help  Desk.    What  do  I  do  if  there  is  a  question  I  do  not  understand?

If  you  do  not  understand  a  question,  please  answer  as  best  you  are  able.  If  you  are  really  unsure  of  what  a  question  is  asking,  please  send  an  email  to  [email protected]  with  the  details  of  your  question.    Someone  will  contact  you  within  2  business  days.

I  have  clicked  “Next  page”  (>>)  but  the  next  screen  will  not  come  up.

It  is  possible  that  you  have  missed  answering  a  question  on  the  screen  or  entered  an  unacceptable  value  for  a  question.  Please  scroll  to  the  top  of  the  screen  to  check  for  any  red  error  messages  that  may  appear.    Error  messages  will  appear  just  above  the  question  that  has  caused  the  error  and  are  self-‐explanatory.

The  questionnaire  will  not  accept  the  response  that  I  entered.    What  should  I  do?

Please  scroll  to  the  top  of  the  screen  to  check  for  any  red  error  messages  that  may  appear.    Error  messages  will  appear  just  above  the  question  that  has  caused  the  error  and  are  self-‐explanatory.

The  system  logged  me  out/closed  while  I  was  in  the  middle  of  the  questionnaire.  What  do  I  do?

If  the  system  logged  you  out  before  you  submitted  your  answers,  they  will  not  be  saved.    You  will  still  be  able  to  go  back  to  the  survey  website  at  www.imna-‐survey.ca  and  start  over,  but  your  previous  responses  will  be  lost.    Make  sure  that  you  do  NOT  use  the  browser  button  at  the  top  of  your  screen  to  scroll  forward/backward.    Use  the  arrow  button  (>>)  at  the  bottom  of  each  question.

It  is  very  important  that  you  do  NOT  use  the  browser  button  at  the  top  of  your  screen  to  scroll  forward/backward.    If  you  do,  the  survey  will  automatically  close,  you  will  lose  all  of  your  answers  and  have  to  start  again.      Use  the  arrow  keys  >>  at  the  bottom  of  each  question  to  proceed  through  the  questionnaire.

The  questionnaire  is  really  slow.  Is  that  normal?

The  speed  at  which  the  questionnaire  moves  from  screen  to  screen  could  be  affected  by  a  few  things,  including  the  speed  of  your  internet  connection  as  well  as  the  speed  and  configuration  of  your  computer.  To  help  improve  the  speed  of  the  questionnaire,  please  close  all  other  programs  on  your  computer  and  do  not  download  other  files,  programs  or  updates  while  you  are  completing  the  questionnaire.  Please  note  that  we  will  not  be  able  to  diagnose  or  fix  any  technical  issues  with  your  actual  computer.

The  questionnaire  is  frozen.  What  should  I  do?

You  may  exit  the  questionnaire  and  click  on  the  link  again  at  www.imna-‐survey.ca.    You  will  be  taken  to  the  beginning  of  the  questionnaire  and  your  previous  responses  will  be  lost.

How  is  the  information  I  enter  in  the  questionnaire  stored?

The  information  that  you  provide  is  hosted  and  stored  on  a  secured  server  in  Canada,  to  ensure  that  your  data  remains  confidential  and  cannot  be  tampered  with.

The  website  address  or  URL  doesn’t  work.        Make  sure  that  the  spelling  is  correct  when  you  are  typing  in  the  website  address.    Or  another  approach  is  to  copy  and  paste  this  link  www.imna-‐survey.ca  into  your  internet  browser  to  go  to  the  survey  website.
