Paraprofessionals must meet ONE of three options:

Complete 2 years (48 semester hours) of study at an IHE

Meet rigorous standard of quality and demonstrate through formal assessment the knowledge of AND ability to assist in instructing reading, writing and mathematics

Obtained an Associates Degree from an IHE

Test plus continuing education

Community college placement tests available only for those re-enrolling in formal education programs
