The Japanese Art ofGood Housekeeping The 5S is simply derived from the five Japanese words, Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu and
Shitsuke.
5S is the foundation forIMPROVEMENT. 5S is not simply a matter of cleaning up. This even includes the psychological effects to
persons in the clean place.
Most of us think that housekeeping is done by somebody who assigned to do the task.Housekeeping iseverybodys concern.
5S is not just giving importance to how clean things appearbutthe importance ofeveryones attitude towards cleaning.
