HAVE A PLAN FOR LAYOUTS

Before anything else, you must generate a specific plan on what the actual appearance of your website will be if viewed from mobile phones. Draft some designs or layouts that can adapt to the same features that your website has. Anything you sketch, regardless of whether they are from scratches, tissue papers, or pizza box, is important. Innovative or clever ideas from the layout are also significant. Just draw some sort of layouts. Make sure that the important tabs or buttons are present in the layouts.

JUST MAKE IT SIMPLE

Consider the fact that your website is viewed from mobile devices. The website must be simple and not complicated to deliver a great user experience to your visitors and customers. There are lots of ways to make your website simple. Just be sure that the main message of the website is there and make sure that its layout is not complicated from the user’s point-of-view.

USE WHITE SPACES

Most of the users are irritated if the text of your mobile website is small and not displayed equally. Make sure that all of the text of your website, when viewed from mobile device, is readable. Always consider the capability of the user to read especially from mobile devices. Use lots of white spaces because people are used to read from white-spaced text. This is just a part of considering the feedbacks that you may receive after you implement optimisation to your mobile website. Just make sure each and every text is easy to read.

DEVELOP IT FOR MULTIPLE HANDSETS

Some websites are well viewed from Android operating system (OS) but when it is viewed through Nokia smart phones or through iPhone OS (iOS), the website fails and is not the same. A development in optimisation of mobile websites considers these things. Because there are lots of OS for phones, make sure that these OS adapt to your website no matter what. Never design a site for a specific device or OS only. Ensure that all mobile devices and OS can read your website so that whoever browses your website can view it without hassle.

AVOID TOO MUCH IMAGES

You don’t want your website to be an online gallery do you? Don’t put too much images to your website; otherwise, it will look like a portfolio or an online gallery. Make sure that whatever images you will put to your website is important and will help your website’s appearance. Just put all necessary images to your website. Don’t put images that are not related to the idea of your website because the branding of your website might disappear.
