Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him….

Psalms 37:3–5, 7a.

Rebellion, Need of Repentance -

Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?

Malachi 3:7

People’s Lives Characterized by Dishonesty, Deceit

And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.

Malachi 3:5

Divorce Warning—Families Falling Apart

For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.

Malachi 2:16

They Refused to Give Their Best.

And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? saith the LORD of hosts.

Malachi 1:8

God Deserves the First/Best.

Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:

So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

Proverbs 3:9, 10

Ultimate Way to Honor Lord With our Substance

Tithe your estate by stating this clause in your will:

As my final act of love, obedience, and faithfulness to the Lord Jesus

Christ, I give, devise, and bequest ten percent of my gross estate to the

Some Increases Are Not Income.

The tithe is 10% of our increase FIRST. Only question, What is the increase? Because the tax is based on income, is

the increase after the tax? Because the tax purchases quality of life,

is the tax part of normal living expenses?

Merely because our government has legislated itself into first place, is not a legitimate reason to place God second.

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.

And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.

Malachi 3:10–12

Our Offering Is Not Our Tithe.

Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

Malachi 3:8

The Difference Between Tithing and Giving:

Tithing is simply returning to God that which He has said is His.

Giving our first 10% to the Lord, is what causes that which is ours to be blessed.

The rest is yours to keep/give as you choose.

It is from this account that you give “offerings.”

The Blessed Life, Robert Morris

Find the Holes in Your Bag.

Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.

Haggai 1:6

We Listen to the Direction of the Holy Spirit.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Proverbs 3:5, 6

It’s a Time to Be Availableas We Trust.

And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,

And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.

And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.

Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.

Luke 5:1–4

It’s a Time to Be Availableas We Trust.

And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him. Luke 5:5–7, 11

Joy Is Not Dependent on Circumstances.

Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:

Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.

Modern Version of Habakkuk 3:17–19If the economy collapses, He is still my Provider!

If the Healthcare is unsustainable,

He is still my Healer!

If disaster shall come, He is still my Protector!

If the powers that be strip me of my patriotism, He is still my Banner!

…If my life should be taken,

He is still my Salvation!

He is my God. He is Jesus, the Way, the Truth and the Life!

We Have What Money Can’t Buy.

They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;

None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Hebrews 13:5

Contentment is the missing jewel.

Our Identity Is the Presence of the Lord.

And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.

For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.

Exodus 33:15, 16

His PresenceIs the Abiding Anointing.

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

1 John 2:27

And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

There Is Hope. But unto you that fear my name shall the

Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.

Malachi 4:2, 3
