In the Darkness

Chapter One

As the dusk fell from the tallest tree a shiver ran down my spine I knew my life was over. One week earlier.... Alice’s family decided to go pick some apples in the woods It was dark like steam clouds over a fire. But it was also dark. When Alice’s family was picking apples Alice went deeper into the woods to find more juicier apples to eat. She was so focused on going to pick apples that she forgot to tell her parents where she was going. Luckily Alice’s brother followed her into the woods. Suddenly Michael heard a scream coming from some bushes up ahead, he rushed to where he had heard the scream only to find Alice stuck between two bushes. “It hurts” cried Alice as Michael tried to pull Alice out of the bushes. Then “pop” Alice slipped out of the bushes like butter on bread. All of a sudden a loud banging of a bat hit the dirt ground like a brick.

As Alice and Michael slowly turned there heads the big GIANT object snorted in their ears for it was an OGRE! “Hello” whispered Alice in fright and amazement. The ogre did not move nor say anything kind of like a statue. Alice’s Mom and Dad to see if they were there. Meanwhile back at home mom was looking everywhere for Alice and Michael. Dad put on a brave face and said they’ll be fine even though he knew they might not come back.

Chapter Two

Back at the forest Alice and Michael still did not know why the ogre was there and still the ogre did not move nor say anything. “Maybe he’s not saying anything or moving because he does not know what we are saying”implied Michael. “No I understand what your saying I’m just messing with you”laughed the ogre.”Anyways you guys are the first humans to set foot in this forest since 1609”.”Why”puzzled Michael.”Because the Dark Shadows will disintegrate anybody who did but I guess they did not see you enter.””Wait slow down, Who are the Dark Shadows?”puzzled Michael.”I’ll explain on the way come on.”shouted the ogre.Then the ogre whistled and a plat form on a sting swung down from a tree picked them up and off they went. “The Dark Shadows are the forces that fight against the fairies and the ogres and the goblins”.

”Wait so what do you need from us?”whispered Michael.”I need you to help fight against the Dark Shadows we are not strong enough”exclaimed the ogre.”Let’s go”said Alice.”You can’t go,we are on a platform going a hundred miles an hour, plus if the Dark Shadows see you leave....off with your head”huffed the ogre.”But our parents are probably worried sick about us”stated Alice trying to change the ogres mind.”It does not matter you can’t leave”huffed the ogre.”Fine”huffed Alice.”Were here said the ogre.”Cool”yelled Michael. There were weapons on the walls,helmets on the shelves and swords in the baskets.

Chapter Three

”Grab a weapon it’s go time”stated the ogre.”What do you mean?”stated Alice.”Were fighting against the Dark Shadows”stated the ogre.”Okay,let’s go!”Alice and Michael grabbed a weapon and got suited up. They jumped on there horses and rode to the battle field. As the dusk fell from the tallest tree I knew my life was over. The Dark Shadows were there and as they jumped off there horses the ogre yelled “charge”. And off they went fighting away. The Dark Shadows were hard to defeat but soon there was 400 fairies and only 100 of them. There numbers were dwindling there was 75 then 50 then 25 then 1 and as Alice lifted here heavy metal sword she took a deep breath and “WACK!”.Alice’s sword hit the head of the warrior like a brick and off it went. They had defeated the Dark Shadows.

“Come on”exclaimed Alice as they jumped on there horses. It took ALice and Michael a long time to get home it started to snow but before you know it there were back at home safe and sound. “Why didn’t we just take the platform and walk the rest?”implied Michael. “Oops”giggled Alice. When they arrived home mom and dad were there to greet them at the door. “But wait”shouted mom and dad. “Where were you,and why are you on a horse?”. “Maybe you should sit down”laughed Alice and Michael.
