M. and ten o'clock P. M. Eastern War Time, at the ""ire House on Elmont Road, Kmont. Nas­sau County. New York, for the purpose of voting upon the following propositions:

PROPOSITION No 1 Shall a tax be levied upon the taxable

property of the Elmont Plre District In the Town of Hempstead. County of Nas­sau. State of New York, In the sum of $29,70200 for the fiscal year 1943. 811.-287 00 thereof required to be raised for the payment of principal of bonds ma­turing and bond interest, the balance thereof to be raised to pay for rent, heat, light and power, gasoline, oil and grease; maintenance and repair of apparatus: janitor's service, salary of superintendent of alarms: stationery and printing; elec­tion expenses, legal fees: treasurer's bond:, secretary's salary: liability, accident. Are, alarm and compensation Insurance: main­tenance and extension of alarm system: coats, hats, boots and equipment: mis­cellaneous supplies; uniforms for firemen; indemnity insurance: hose: maintenance of alarm building- and erection of fence.
