Work to rule
To work no more than the minimum legally established.
Go on the picket line
A line or procession of people picketing a place of employment or otherwise staging a public protest.
To be on strike
Engaged in a work stoppage: Most of the employees were on strike.
To lay off
To terminate the employment of (a worker).
To remove
(intr) formal to change the location of one's home or place of business: the publishers have removed to Mayfair.
perks
an incidental benefit gained from a certain type of employment, such as the use of a company car.
benefits
A form of compensation, such as paid vacation time, subsidized health insurance, or a pension, provided to employees in addition to wages or salary as part of an employment arrangement.
bonus
something given, paid, or received above what is due or expected: a Christmas bonus for all employees.
salary
a fixed regular payment made by an employer, often monthly, for professional or office work as opposed to manual work.
Wage
A regular payment, usually on an hourly, daily, or weekly basis, made by an employer to an employee, especially for manual or unskilled work.
apprentice
one bound by indenture to serve another for a prescribed period with a view to learning an art or trade
trainee
one that is being trained especially for a job
Head office
the most important office of an organization or company, or the people working there
department
A division of a business specializing in a particular product or service
boardroom
a room where the board of directors of a company meets
overtime
Time beyond an established limit, as:working hours in addition to those of a regular schedule.
flextime
An arrangement by which employees may set their own work schedules, especially their starting and finishing hours. Also called flexitime.
credentials
evidence of entitlement to rights, privileges, or the like, usually in written form: No one admitted without credentials.

A statement about a person's qualifications, character, and dependability.
application
A request, as for assistance, employment, or admission to a school.
