THE WAYS THAT MY MEDIA PRODUCT USE REAL FORMS AND CONVENTION

The which my product used real forms and convention is in the following ways: Narrative, Title, Effects(transaction), Music type, Voice over and character types. Trailers which we have looked into were: Run fat boy run, Pain and Gain, Dodgeball, The longest Yard and 21& 22 Jump Street.

Real Convention:

Those media that have a construct of a bully normally has a typical underdog narrative which is usually involved for instance Fat boy run the protagonist is the underdog and the antagonist is the guy that’s dating his ex, that’s really good at running, which the protagonist just pick ups at. which where we got are construct of a underdog character.

We had a voice over, which is a convention of some media products such as the longest yard.

Camera shots - Close up to show expression of characters ( which all the films we researched into has)

The type of music that we applied is similar of those of real conventions such as funky, upbeat music we had added slip noise to the titles as they went by which is seen in many comedy trailers such as 21&22 jump street. We also paused the music/beat when a comic moment was about to approached.

THE WAYS THAT MY MEDIA PRODUCT USE REAL FORMS AND CONVENTION

Effects(transaction), we followed real conventions of sports, comedy of how they apply their effects into their trailer. We looked at a range other products that included dodgeball, run fat boy run and many others that could help us identity the type of effects that would be suitable to are particular media products. We decided to use a few that would work for are trailer which were push slide ,fades and cuts.

Outside the genre, trailers has a convention which the majority of media projects follow. This includes giving a insight of the narrative(not the whole narrative), enigma codes which draws the audience to go out and watch the whole thing, a range of scenes ( L-cuts) within trailer. Titles which include production crews names, date and name of the product. Lastly the production and distribution company of the trailer. My media project included all of the real conventions of a trailer, as we wanted to make it look like a official trailer.

THE WAYS THAT MY MEDIA PRODUCT DEVELOPS REAL FORMS AND CONVENTION

The way which my media product develops real forms and convention of the majority real media products is that we included and extra section after the main titles is shown. This develops real forms and convention as most sports, comedy trailer end their product after the main title is presented. But where as are product we wanted to leave the audience with a little extra more scenes/ humour that would make the audience find this particular trailer appealing from the rest of other trailers.

THE WAYS THAT MY MEDIA PRODUCT CHALLENGE'S REAL FORMS AND CONVENTION

The way which my media product challenges real forms and convention of real media products is that we include a range of instrumental (from Garage band) for particular scenes within are trailers, while real media products would have one or two music for most of theirs scenes within their trailer such as “Pain and Gain” Which includes a slow, calm pace music at the beginning of its trailer until the disruption, which then switches to a more funky upbeat music until the end. While my product challenge’s this typically convention as, we included a range of music types for each particular section of are trailer for instance the beginning has a hyper and upbeat music, the gym and bullying scenes have more of a funky upbeat type of music.
