This short route through the town is easily accessibleby most. Look out for the old bridges that were onceused for access to Glenmore and the ski slopes. Takea peek also at the River Spey, which is prone toflooding in this lower area but supports a hugebiodiversity of plants and animals.

Follow the red arrows on the waymarkers and take awalk around these beautiful birch woods with theirwonderful mosses and lichens. Look out for theperegrines above you. If you are lucky you mightcatch a glimpse of these rare internationallyprotected birds of prey.

This lovely route takes you through the gorgeousMilton Wood with its Scots Pine and heather flora.Look out for the red squirrels feeding on the pinecones and check out the fantastic mosses. Thisroute also connects with the Speyside Way and theSustrans routes, so take some time out to explore!

Follow the red waymarkers for most of this lovelywalk. To complete the loch circular, near takethe white waymarkers and once across the burn,follow the brown markers. Look at for the fantasticviews over Loch Morlich giving a real feeling ofwilderness and space.

This lovely pine woodland is part of AbernethyForest and the RSPB reserve. Look out for thefascinating wetland environments with theirsphagnum mosses and marsh reeds where newts,frogs and toads deposit their spawn. The trees alsosupport much wildlife such as lichens and mosses.

This lovely walk takes you along the river andthrough the village. Look out for salmon jumpingin the spring and the herons flying by. The riversidewoods with alders and willows are home to manyspecies including bugs and beasties - food for thebirds and fish!

This lovely walk takes you through native Scotspine woods to the wonderful Loch an Eilein. Thesenationally rare habitats support huge numbers ofspecies such as the crested tit andthe native ScottishCrossbill. Look out for the mosses and lichens, fineexamples in this wonderfully clean air!
