About the workshop

More than two decades have passed since the activities onnanoscience and nanotechnology started with enormous promiseand potential for various applications. Many of these ideas havebeen implemented into a number of applications already. Variousclasses of materials have been developed with novel lowdimensional features over the past few years. The connectionbetween nanotechnology and energy is inextricable. Many uniquephysical phenomena occur at the nanoscale through theconfinement of allowable states of basic energy carries (likeelectrons, phonons, and photons). The consequences of thesephenomena are manifested in various areas of applications relatedto energy science and technology and are being exploited withimproving efficacy to address energy related problems. This ‘IndiaAustralia International Workshop on Nanotechnology in Materialsand Energy Application ’ will mainly concentrate on the latestdevelopment on the nanomaterials and its applications in energyrelated fields which will be of immense benefit particularly to theyoung researchers.
