DelhiExplore New Delhi, Welcome DinnerExplore Delhi, capital and political hub of India. Delhi has been

continuously inhabited since the 6th century BC and has served as acapital of various kingdoms and empires. It has been captured, ransacked, and rebuilt several times, and modern Delhi is a group ofseveral cities spread across the metropolitan region.

Explore NewDelhi

Start your exploration of New Delhi with a visit toHumayun’s Tomb, built in the mid-16th century bythe senior wife of the second Mughal emperor. Thisis the first significant example of Mughalarchitecture in India, and one of the most beautifulbuildings in the city. The elements of its design areechoed in the Taj Mahal. The building is squat withhigh arched entrances topped by a bulbous domeand surrounded by formal gardens. Found at thegardens are the red-and-white sandstone and black-and-yellow marble tomb of Humayun’s wife and, somewhat surprisingly, the tomb of Humayun’sbarber!

Then drive past President's Palace and India Gate, the stone arch of triumph bearing the names of85,000 Indian Army soldiers who died in World WarI.

Lunch During your tour, savor a traditional Kashmiri lunchwith your group.

Afternoon If you have the energy, visit Qutab Minar, a soaringtower of victory with five distinct stories that wasbuilt on the foundation of a Hindu temple. Manyelements of the construction reflect their Hindu andJain origins, and there are myriad monuments thatcombine both Islamic calligraphy and Hindu motifs.

Adventure Travel TodayAt AdventureWomen, we wanteveryone to understand that ourexcursions are adventure travelvacations and not “tours.” Wedefine “adventure travel” as travel in which one activelyparticipates, as opposed to a“tour,” in which one is more or less a passive observer. AdventureWomen designs andorganizes vacations all over theworld for women who want toexperience an active, out of theordinary vacation, and meet new friends. Most of all, we want our trips to be fun! In this spirit, the successful adventure traveler should be a

good-natured realist and have asense of humor! Adventurevacations, by nature, require thatparticipants be self- sufficient, flexible, and able to acceptsituations as they exist, and notjust as they would have preferredor expected them to exist. Theconstraints of scheduled grouptraveling also necessitate thateach of us be understanding ofand sensitive to others. Being ontime is important, andcontributes to the congeniality, success and well-being of bothindividuals and the group!
