The examination dates for the Indiana Bar Examination for 2012 are:

February: Tuesday, February 28 July: Tuesday, July 24Wednesday, February 29 Wednesday, July 25

Indiana Bar ExamThe two-day Bar exam contains 3 components:

(1) Two 90-minute Multi-State Performance Test (MPT) questions: “Closed universe”practical problem using instructions, factual data, cases, statutes and other referencematerial supplied by examiners.

(2) Six or seven essay questions selected from the following subjects:

Administrative LawAgencyCommercial LawConstitutional Law (Federal)Constitutional Law (Indiana)ContractsCorporationsCriminal Law, Criminal ProcedurePleading and Practice

Family LawEvidenceReal PropertyPartnershipsPersonal PropertyTaxationTortsWills and Trusts

(3) The Multi-State Bar Exam (MBE) consisting of 200 multiple choice questions dealingwith universal laws across the states.

The three tests will be weighted as follows: MPT 20%, Indiana Essay Exam 30%, MBE50%. The passing score will be a combined scaled score of 264.
