Upper Volta

Referring to the article by Mr. Weiler, which appeared in No. 42, Mr. Edmond ~ueyroy adds for Our benefit some information.

Publio Notioe No. 3273,~uly 17,1948, which he quotes, does not list as Upper Volta offices:

Kampti, Saria, Yako. This notioe lists one offioed not given in

Mr. Weiler's list: Nouna.

This notice further lists two postal ~enci.s or "subordinate of'1'ioes,"one of which has not been included in Mr. Weiler's l1st:

Diapag& (subord1nate to Ouagadougou) Kantoher1 (subord1nate · to Ouagadougou).

Thus the information is brought up to date. We do not know whether the offices included

by Mr. Weiler and no t on this list have been di s oountint»d,or what happened to them. As they are not included in the lists of offices 10 the other Frenoh West Adrioan oolonies, in this luly 17,1948 notioe, we oan give no information. The additional offioes to jud~ from whet Mr.Weiler tells of his source of informat10n, would seem to have been established since the separat10n of Upper Volta anew as a postal un1t, and after the list in the Bottin Volume of 1948 had been -pu b1ishe d.
