Atom Resusci Flow Resuscitation Unit

The Atom “Resusci Flow” is a resuscitation unit that performs artificial respiration with a stable pressure. Using the Resusci Flow with the Parker TB2000 Resuscitation Circuit, the user has the ability to control the inspiratory time by placing a finger over the PEEP port located on top of the circuit adjustment valve. The Resusci Flow maintains a preset peak inspiratory pressure (PIP) and positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) to a constant pressure. The PEEP of the TB2000 Flow Controller can be adjusted by rotating the flow control knob located on top of the circuit adjustment valve to the desired setting.

Atom V-808 Transport Incubator

THE SEPARABLE MAIN UNIT FOR INCREASED MOBILITY

The main unit, which contains a sub-battery ensuring more than fifteen minutes operation, is separable from the main battery. When separated, the main unit weighing approx. 34kg, is conveniently used to transport the infant easily up and down stairs or through a small space. The stand, equipped with a gas spring, is vertically and smoothly adjustable and can be fixed at any height within the range of 32-61cm.

THREE KINDS OF POWER SOURCE

The V-808 Transport Incubator supports three kinds of power sources depending on different transport settings:1. The AC power source2. The Internal Battery3. The External DC power source (DC 12V / DC24V)Conforming to EMC standards and provided with measures against electromagnetic interference, the V-808 can cope with various transport settings.

BUILT-IN Masimo SET® PULSE OXIMETER

The built-in Masimo SET® pulse oximeter monitors SpO2 accurately by eliminating noise generated by the infant’s movement. Stable monitoring is ensured even when signals are weak due to poor circulation. DOUBLE-WALL HOOD FOR STABLE NURSING ENVIRONMENT

The double-wall hood minimises the infant’s radiant heat loss. In addition, the powerful capability of thermal maintenance and the precise temperature control system maintain the incubator air temp. at 34°C even when the ambient temp. is 0°C.

Incubator filters protect the infant from airborne bacteria and other impurities which otherwise would be drawn into the incubator with the ambient air. On inspecting the filter (weekly, when incubators are cleaned, or an infant discharged) it becomes apparent how much debris is captured - even in a spotless NICU.The Microfilter core (Bacterial Filtration Efficiency > 99%) is fully sealed in a water repellent, hypoallergenic membrane. Hyperbilirubinemia is a common condition in newborn infants and may cause kernicterus if not properly managed. Therefore, jaundice in the newborn should be dynamically observed so as to diagnose and treat as quickly as possible. However, repeated blood sampling for measuring serum bilirubin is painful and is a cause for distress to the infant, increases the workload of the nursery staff and is not readily accepted by parents.

KJ-8000 transcutaneous jaundice meter utilizes fiber, photoelectric, electronic and information processing technologies and is small and light. By pressing the probe gently to the forehead of the baby, the bilirubin concentration in the skin tissue is immediately displayed on the LCD screen.

BIDIBOTS NAPPIES

Bidibots have dsigned and created a new range of nappies in three sizes that cater for a weight range between 500 grams up to 2 kg. Our nappy has:

Higher absorbency for less handling Nappy to sit under umbilical cord for easy access points Effective hook and loop to decrease risk of tapes sticking to babies skin Narrow in groin for optimal hip positioning Increase leg elasticity for decrease risk of leakage Wetness indicators for nurses.

We are very proud of the outcome on this product and the journey we all took to get there, and we know our precious neonates will be very grateful to have theBidibots nappy and its medical benefits.

The nappy is now available in three sizes to cater for weight ranges between 500 grams up to 2 kg.

KEY FEATURES

Shortfalls were identified in existing Neonatal products. Bidibots came up with the following solutions;

The design and cut of the existing nappies were not good for the hips and greater posture of the developing skeleton of a premature baby. Solution: We have designed and built a tailored crutch based on physiological data provided from paediatric experts into Bidibots nappy.

The fastening systems of the existing nappies were abrasive and could lead to scaring of the delicate skin of a premature baby.

Solution: We have replaced the outdated fastening systems with a soft touch fastening system designed for these sorts of products.

The key access point for premature babies is the belly button which gets covered by the existing nappies.

Solution: We have designed and built tailored low cut front based on physiological data provided from paediatric experts into the Bidibots nappy.

The absorbency of the nappies were at Iow levels leading to two main issues;- increased risk of septic complications.

Solution: We have increased the absorption levels of the Bidibots nappy and also added a wet indicator to show the Neonatal nursing staff when the nappy is ready for changing.

Higher numbers of nappy changes of nappies per day which increases risk of injury to the premature baby.
