Week 23 - 2019 summary: Total dispatch was 242,652 trays, a 11% decrease on the previous week and 12% higher than the forecasted 216,291 trays. Central Queensland supplied the majority of fruit at 52%, followed by North Qld at 40%. The remaining 8% of fruit was supplied by Central NSW, South Queensland, & Sunshine Coast. The seasonal progress graph on p.4 is now reporng all regions in the 2019 season. The average online single avocado price for the reported week is $2.24, a 26¢ decrease on the previous week—see pp.6, 7 & 8. Markeng Update: New recipes making a splash The new recipes on the Australian Avocados website are being promoted via the consumer-facing social media by the markeng team at Hort Innovaon. This is part of a wider strategy to convert infrequent avocado buyers into people who regularly add avocado to their shopping baskets. The latest recipe feature is the warming Avo, potato & parsnip mash, a Facebook post that has garnered more than 3,000 reacons and more than 170 shares since it was posted last Friday. Week 23 - 2019 summary:

• Total dispatch was 242,652 trays, a 11% decrease on the previous week and 12% higher than the forecasted 216,291 trays.

• Central Queensland supplied the majority of fruit at 52%, followed by North Qld at 40%. The remaining 8% of fruit was supplied by Central

NSW, South Queensland, & Sunshine Coast.

• The seasonal progress graph on p.4 is now reporting all regions in the 2019 season.

• The average online single avocado price for the reported week is $2.24, a 26¢ decrease on the previous week—see pp.6, 7 & 8.

Marketing Update: New recipes making a splash

The new recipes on the Australian Avocados website are being promoted via the consumer-facing social media by the marketing team at Hort Innovation. This is part of a wider strategy to convert infrequent avocado buyers into people who regularly add avocado to their shopping baskets. The latest recipe feature is the warming Avo, potato & parsnip mash, a Facebook post that has garnered more than 3,000 reactions and more than 170 shares since it was posted last Friday. This marketing activity is managed by Hort Innovation and funded by the avocado marketing levy. #smashanavo
