Rental Vehicles: All well known International Hire Companies are available at Nelson Airport etc. These can be found on the usual websites. However I have made contact with a cheaper option – RentaDent Nelson. I have had a look at their vehicles and they look pretty good to me. I appreciate the name of the company does not sound great but be assured they are not old bombs. In particular if you are interested in hiring a Mini Van (12 seater) they have a fleet of 14 near new Toyota Vans that look well looked after. There hire rates vary depending on days hired. $145NZ per Day for 7 days - $139.00 per day for 10 days including unlimited mileage and normal insurance. Alternatively, 8 seat vehicles (Toyota Estima, Hyundai Imax)are available at rates $80 – 95 per day – 10 days hire. They also have a range of good quality cars and the rates seem very competitive. They can be found on www.nelsonrentadent.co.nz – please advise you are with World Benchrest.

Accommodation: I reiterate what I have previously advised. There are many and varied accommodation options available in Nelson. We have arranged discounted rates at the Quality Inn Motels which are within walking distance of the City Centre and no more than 10 minutes driving to the range. This venue has been fully refurbished / redecorated recently and is of excellent quality and have a very nice restaurant as well.We will be holding our WBC meeting at this venue.

I recommend that you have a look at the website www.qualityinnnelson.co.nz and please advise you are with World Benchrest to secure the pricing. They have a wide range of rooms and apartments available from single motel type units to 4 bedroom apartments. Rates vary depending on unit – as a guide single unit ( 2 beds) $NZ110 per day – 4 bedroom apartment $NZ295.00 per day. I would recommend you make contact as soon as you have some idea on requirement as Nelson is a popular tourist town.

Freight Reception: If you intend to pre-ship freight, I refer you my previous information supplied regarding Carnets.

Competition Rules:As we have not as yet received the updated rules being prepared by Mike Ratigan, the current Rule Book will be in operation. Bench Rotation will be in accordance with Rule 9.1.a ie Two Bench Rotation.

Relays: The number of entries will determine but at this time it is our intention to only run 4 relays with each Team being allocated 1 bench ie all of one team using the same bench.

Wind Flags: We will have all flags available in New Zealand with a few spares we have. The number of sets however is limited. For those who would like to share flags or do not have their own let us know and we will try and arrange benches to ensure we cope . Again if you are bringing your own, let me know so we can ensure we get good distribution on the range as possible.

Farley Type Bases: We have had a number of Bases made from 16mm steel and available at cost. Please ensure you let us know on the entry information if required. You just need to bring your own top and pins.
