The Innocent Man• Main Events

-Night of the murder, Glen Gore is seen “violently talking” to Debbie Carter at the local night club just hours before she was killed

-Ron Williamson is never mentioned until Glen is brought in for questioning

-Police arrest Ron, fingerprints don’t match, hair samples “might” match, Fritz is arrested because the police believe two murderers were involved

-Get snitches at jail to testify against Ron in return for their pardons

-Ron is uncontrollable with his mental state, is given thorazine to sedate him, though he’s not deemed as mentally ill

-Gore isn’t a suspect until DNA evidence convicted him in 2003, over 20 years after the murder

-Perry and Dick plan to rob the Clutters, and it ends in their murdering the family in order to have no witnesses

-Perry is the murderer of all four of the Clutters

-They successfully get away to Mexico, but Dick wants to go back to the United States because he is bored and irritated with Perry

-Dick writes bad checks when they get back to Kansas, and the cellmate who gave them information about the Clutters tips the police, resulting in their arrest by Dewey

-They both confess and are hanged
