PARTNERSHIP POLICY PURPOSE OF POLICY: In the pursuit of its goals, INNOVA Leadership & Economic Innovation may find it appropriate to join forces with other organizations. The purpose of this policy is to establish guidelines to assist the Board of Directors in assessing the appropriateness of partnerships in a manner that: a) Assists in promoting the mission and values of the INNOVA; b) Permits INNOVA to achieve its strategic goals and objectives in an ethical and professional manner; c) Increases the visibility and positive image of INNOVA. DEFINITION OF PARTNERSHIP: Partnership means the association of one or more organizations with INNOVA for a specific purpose (for example: a conference, a publication, an award, a special promotion…). It is different from sponsorship and it does not necessarily involve the exchange of money or services. Specific details will be described in a written agreement between the parties to the partnership. MAIN PRINCIPLES a) The joint projects shall be beneficial to the INNOVA, related to its mission and compatible with its goals and values b) Partnerships must be acceptable to the Board and the membership in general c) No financial risk to the organization or competition with INNOVA d) Partnerships shall be entered into for specific activities only e) Partnerships shall be documented in writing and partners must adhere to the mission, goals and values of INNOVA. f) Partnerships should offer revenue generation opportunities g) Partnership should offer opportunities for high media visibility h) Consideration should be given to companies who believe in the mission of INNOVA and where its members, volunteers, Alumni see value in doing business in promotion of leadership in society. GUIDELINES: a) Unlike sponsorships, partnerships, by their very nature, are limited in number.

PARTNERSHIP POLICY

PURPOSE OF POLICY:

In the pursuit of its goals, INNOVA Leadership & Economic Innovation may find it appropriate to join forces with other organizations. The purpose of this policy is to establish guidelines to assist the Board of Directors in assessing the appropriateness of partnerships in a manner that:

a) Assists in promoting the mission and values of the INNOVA; b) Permits INNOVA to achieve its strategic goals and objectives in an ethical and professional manner; c) Increases the visibility and positive image of INNOVA.

GUIDELINES: a) Unlike sponsorships, partnerships, by their very nature, are limited in number. b) INNOVA is an educational organization with a constituency of support comprising members, friends and

Alumni. c) INNOVA is not an advocacy group and, therefore, the choice of a partner shall not be susceptible of being

interpreted as INNOVA having taken a stand in the various controversial debates that may take place from time to time in the non-profit sector and in Canadian society.

d) INNOVA will not at any time share its mailing list with partners – confidentiality will be respected at all times. e) Being an educational organization with a mandate to train leaders, CWY will ensure its activities undertake

alone or in partnership with other organization, offer its members the space to be exposed to and express a diversity of viewpoints on issues of interest, that relate to its mission and values..

Partnerships shall be reviewed by the Board of Directors each three years. The President and Chief Executive Officer of INNOVA shall ensure that partnerships are consistent with this policy and will maintain a record of partnerships for all INNOVA’s national, regional and international partnership activities.
