Executive Summary
Holland - Wall Framing
Safe. On-time. Quality. These are just some of the responses provided by the trade contractors when asked what word they hope to use to describe the LifeCircles Pace Holland project when it is complete. The question was posed for the Holland project, but all of the responses could have been applied to any construction project. On both LifeCircles Pace projects, we are striving for these goals.
At Tanglewood Park, the building has been enclosed for a couple of weeks which has allowed for the concrete floors to be poured, and framing, rough-in, and drywall to start in the addition. Not only are we continuing to work steadily on the addition, we are excited to now be working on portions of the interior renovation. The physician and medical room areas are getting a whole new look and layout. Next, we will be tackling the nurses station.
In Holland, the majority of the walls have been framed. In-wall installations are moving quickly so that we can get our inspections and start hanging drywall. You’ll also notice some changes on the exterior of the building. Along the north elevation we have added openings in the masonry for new windows and excavation for the new utilities has begun. As the teams work methodically on both projects, we are keeping in mind the project goals listed below.

The Look Ahead at Tanglewood Park
Life Circles Tanglewood is well underway on interior work on Phase II. Framing, drywall, and drywall finish are all in process. The stairs and railings to the mezzanine have been installed as well as the platform and stairs to the roof. Our new electrical panel on the mezzanine is up and running and supplying us with additional electrical boxes for construction. Hopefully we are done tripping breakers now! The exterior wall panels and soffit panels are also being installed. We are completing the new offices in the existing building as part of phase III work.
The work on the exterior site is expected to start soon and will require a lot of coordination between Elzinga & Volkers and Life Circles management to keep them up and running throughout the entire process.
I would like to thank the staff at Life Circles for all of their cooperation during this process. It is never easy for the management team to have us working in their facility disrupting their day to day operations.

Interior Framing and Rough-ins
I’m pleased to say the job is going very well, currently 90% of the walls are framed and we are scheduled to hang drywall next week. The new window openings are cut in the block so we can order frames and glass. We are also starting on exterior work including new water, sanitary and storm hook ups.
We look forward to the next few months as the project progresses!
