ABOUT INSIGHT 360™The Insight 360 software performs four main functions:

l Set up of class rosters, students, Favorites and testsl Administration of self-paced testsl Storage and reporting of class session datal Presentation mode for formative assessment

Minimal setup is required before the Insight 360 system can be used for the first time. To utilize all of the benefits of the Insight360 system, the following should be set up:

l Preferencesl Classesl Studentsl Favoritesl Tests

Most of these require a one-time setup and do not require editing until your classes or students change.

NOTEYou will use the Mobi 360 mobile interactive whiteboard or the Insight 360 Teacher app to teach class.

Administration of Self-paced Tests

During class, the only time you will need to open the Insight 360 software is to administer a self-paced test. A self-paced testpresents a list of questions to the student. Students answer each question at their own pace using their own Pulse 360, Spark360, ResponseCard NXT clickers, the Insight 360 Student app or Web Access. Answer Key and ExamView® self-paced testsare administered from the My Tests tab.

Storage and Reporting of Class Session Data

Insight 360 stores several types of class session data while a session is running on the Mobi 360. When a class session isover, Insight 360 makes the class session data available for viewing, editing and reporting purposes. Class session dataincludes test and question scores, screenshots, and reports. Class session data is available from the My Results tab.

How Insight 360 WorksThe Mobi 360 or Insight 360 Teacher app allows you to control the Insight 360 software from a mobile platform. The teacherdevice itself does not retain any data, settings or other information. It presents data gathered from Insight 360. It also allowsyou to control the lesson content and setup, and issue and view formative assessments while walking around the classroom. You can view anything that is collected from the student response devices at any time on the Mobi 360 or the Insight 360Teacher app.

Communicating with Student Devices

The Insight 360 software also communicates with the Pulse 360, Spark 360 or ResponseCard NXT clickers through the clickerreceiver. The Insight 360 software can also communicate via the internet or the school’s LAN when using the Insight 360Student app or Insight 360 Web Access service. The Insight 360 software collects data from the student response systemwhen questions are initiated from either the Mobi 360, Insight 360 Teacher app, or Insight 360 (in the case of a self-paced test).

Insight 360 communicates with tablets running the Insight 360 Student app through Wi-Fi. You can send self-paced tests to thestudent tablets through Insight 360. To use the Constructed Response feature, the instructor must use the Insight 360 Teacherapp.

LicensingTo view your licensing information click My Settings and select About or click About from anywhere in Insight 360.

Insight 360 Standard

The Insight 360 Standard Edition gives educators mobile desktop control on their tablet with the Insight 360 Teacher app or theMobi 360. Facilitate lessons and access instant data sent from a variety of student devices, from anywhere in the room.Students can use Pulse 360™, Spark 360™, ResponseCard NXT and Ping 360 clickers to respond to questions during class. One of the many features Standard licensing provides is CueTag™. A CueTag™ is a simple tag that can be pasted on virtuallyany digital material and turns the content into formative assessment. A CueTag makes existing digital content poll able, allowing an instructor to collect real-time data during formative instruction. The lesson is never interrupted for assessment.CueTag™ contains information about the assessment item including question name, type, correct answer, and state orCommon Core Standards.

Insight 360 Premium Edition

The Insight 360 Premium Edition includes all of the features the Standard Edition offers educators, plus increased participantinteraction with the Insight 360 Student app.

MY STANDARDSYou can associate individual questions answered in class to USA educational standards using My Tests. Answer Key andExamView® tests can contain questions associated with Common Core and U.S.A. state standards. Individual questionstagged with CueTag barcodes can also be associated with Common Core and U.S.A. state standards. Selected standardspopulate a “quick select” list available for future questions. You can generate Standards Analysis reports at the class andstudent levels using My Reports in the Insight 360 software.

You can use the Insight 360 software to associate individual Answer Key and CueTag questions with educational standards.Insight 360 uses Common Core and U.S.A. educational standards from Academic Benchmarks. Academic Benchmarkscollects and maintains content, assessment and performance standards used by many education professionals in the U.S.A.

Common Core standards are available for K-12 English Language Arts and K-12 Mathematics.

Common Core standards are automatically installed when you install the Insight 360 software. If you include a U.S. state whenyou register your copy of the Insight 360 software, the standards for that U.S. state will install when you activate the Insight360 software.
