Inspire Music Concert by Inspire 2010 Report Executive Summary Heartstrings, a classical concert , are being held on the 25th September 2010 at the Tagore Theatre, Chandigarh. The instrumental -cum-chorale concert is part of a fundraising effort, Inspire’10 A team of 7 students undertakes the organizing of the concert Undergoing their 3rd year of B.B.A. Consisting of different sub- committees, the organizing team worked well together to produce a classical music of high standards. Description of how Organizing Team Prepares Getting Started – Venue The venue is t he most vi tal element in a concert. Different venues were searched upon, such as the Theatre and more. The key aspects to take note of while sourcing for a venue were the cost and location, with cost taking up a huge portion of the pie. Being a new organization, cutting cost posed as one of our main prioriti es as we did not have the luxury of an elastic budget. The Lovely Professional University eventually decides on Tagore Theatre due to the generous sponsoring of the venue. No rental charges were incurred, safe for the technical fees. Invitations of Performing Groups We have invited, world renowned artists, as Ustad Zakir Hussain, the Tabla maestro and Ustad Amjad Ali Khanone of the foremost Sarod players in India and has carved a niche for himself in the Hall of Fame of Indian classical music! Formal invitation letters were also sent out to the performers for confirmation and documentation purposes. Collation of the details of the performers then had to be done so as to facilitate the logistics workings of the team. Dietary requirement was on of priority, as we do not want uneventful misunderstandings to occur. Logistics
