Education cannot be geared just for the industry but industry needs

educated people. So while we need better interface between industry and

university, we also need better interface between university and

The whole world is hung up on 4 years to get a degree, but it may take less or it may take more. The key is to really go back and begin to change the content, courses, credits, provide some more flexibility. If somebody takes three years, fine. And if somebody takes five years, that’s also okay. We don’t have that flexibility in our system today.- Education system needs Flexibility

Today, India with a consumer base of over a billion people has only 7 or 8 million broadband connections. Lots of these connections are even 256 KB. We really need 100 million broadband connections, at least 6 to 10 mbps each. That is the real challenge in telecom world.- View on Telecom Industry

If you really want to be a globally competitive player in the global market place, it is important to

study in English but not at the cost of forgetting local languages all

together. So I see English as one of the languages to succeed.
