Introduction

This guide will assist you in setting up the required software for ADAPT. This will only need to be done once per computer.

This guide applies to Windows 10 only

Requirements

The Citrix Receiver client install must be completed. Citrix Receiver enables full functionality, including printer and local drive access via ADAPT.

Windows 10 has two versions of web browsers; Edge and Internet Explorer desktop app

Edge will have limited functionality:

o Applications will not be free floating (rendered within the browser tab)

o Accessibility to local drives and printers will not be available.

Internet Explorer Desktop app will have full functionality. We highly recommend that you are using Internet Explorer to access Adapt.

Pin Internet Explorer Desktop app to your task bar

1. Click Start

2. Type “internet”

3. Right click the “Internet Explorer Desktop app” and select Pin to taskbar

4. Use the Internet Explorer 11 Desktop app when accessing ADAPT, not Edge

Procedure

Installation of Citrix Receiver

1. Open Internet explorer Desktop app and visit http://receiver.citrix.com

2. Select Download Receiver for Windows

3. Download and save the “Citrix Receiver for windows” file.

4. When the download completes, open the Installer and accept all defaults to complete installation, and click ‘finish’ at the end.

5. Close and re-open Internet explorer Desktop app

6. Navigate to https://adapt.adelaide.edu.au, add this page to your favourites

7. Log in with your University ID (axxxxxxx) and password

8. Future access will be via Internet explorer Desktop app and this address https://adapt.adelaide.edu.au
