Through its core offerings, the ILE promotes social entrepreneurship, develops leadership capacity, and encourages dialogue on important topics.

The IMPACT Speaker Series provides a forum for leaders and entrepreneurs to visit Georgia Tech to share their experiences and advice. Since 2002, it has brought notable individuals from the business and social sectors to campus, including self-made billionaire Sara Blakely, business magnate Warren Buffet, Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus, and former Vice President Al Gore.

The Ideas to Serve (I2S) Competition promotes student social entrepreneurship at Georgia Tech. Competition entries focus on solving local or global problems related to poverty, health care, education, disaster relief, and more. Past participants have gone on to garner additional support from organizations like StartUp Chile, Y Combinator, KickStarter, the Global Social Venture Competition, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Through academic coursework and hands-on experience, the management track of the Minor in Leadership Studies helps students build their leadership and management skills. In-depth projects with local organizations provide opportunities to put leadership knowledge into practice.

The Eastern Europe Study Abroad Program enables students to gain cultural awareness while learning about the application of business principles to the social and nonprofit sectors.

ILE programs and courses develop leaders and social entrepreneurs.
