Raiseawarenessandconductregulardrillstocombatcomplacencywhentheevacuation

Tocombatcomplacencywhentheevacuationalarmisactivated:1. Ensurethereisafunctioningalarmsystem.Ifthereisonlyonesignalitshouldalwaysbetheevacuationalarm.2. Ensurethereisanup-to-dateemergencyactionplanthatclearlystipulatesrolesandresponsibilitiesand

actionstotakewhenthealarmisactivated.

3. Ensurethatthereareclearlymarked,unobstructedandwelllightedprimaryandsecondarydesignatedescaperoutesleadingfromallareasofthepremisestoareasofsafetywhereoccupantscanbeaccountedfor.

4. Provideateachworkstationaclearevacuationmapindicatingprimaryandsecondaryescaperoutesandthedesignatedexternalassemblypoint.

5. Ensurethatthereareclearsignsindicatingescaperoutes,exitsandexternalassemblypoints.6. Ensurethatthereisasystemtoaccountforalloccupantsatthedesignatedexternalassemblypoint.
