PLAIN STITCH USING THE INTARSIA CARRIAGE~ Cast on over the needles with the Bulky Knitter Carriage.~ To use the Intarsia Carriage, remove the Bulky Knitter Carriage from the Needle Bed,

and follow the steps below.Do not thread the yarn through theAuto-Tension or the Yarn Feeder.

1. Set the Intarsia Carriage on the sideopposite the yarn end. Pass the Car-riage across the needles in "B" posi-

-. -fron. The needles are pushed into-"0" position.

2. Lay the yarn in the hook of the need-les in "0" position and take up slackon the yarn. Pass the Carriage across .the needles, the yarn is knitted andthe needles align in "0" position.

3. Repeat the step 2.

I First Row IDivide the knitting needles into sections, and lay theyarns (1,2,3,··,) in the hook of the needles of eachsection starting from the side of the Carriage asshown. Take up the slack on the yarns, and passthe Intarsia Carriage across the needles.

I Second Row IAs done in the first 'row, lay the yarns over eachsection of the needles, starting from the side of theCarriage.

IMPORTANT:TO AVOID THE SEPARATION OF STITCHESAT THE EDGE OF THE DESIGN. CROSSTHE YARNS AS SHOWN OPPOSITE
