PRESENTERS: Luke Nelson is the City Administrator in Boone, Iowa. Luke is responsible for the oversight and management of all City government activities (including business services of water and sewer utilities). Luke has been the City Administrator in Boone for seven years. Luke managed the city of Boone through the economic downturn of 2008. With a great team of department leaders and diligence Boone went from operating in the red to meeting cash reserves and an A1 Moody’s Bond Rating in just a few short years. Luke has an undergrad degree in Urban and Regional Planning and a dual masters from Iowa State University in Public Administration and Land Use Planning. In this position, he is responsible for leading CDS Global’s diversified sales team as well as efforts to align clients’ complex business needs with the company’s solution portfolio. John has been with CDS Global since 1998. He has held several leadership roles within the company, serving as vice president of solutions engineering, executive director of product management, director of client services, account director for consumer products, senior manager of the Des Moines lockbox/mail processing operations and senior manager in the Des Moines call center operations.
