Introduction

Most of our social lives is based on relationships and they

completely consists of social interactions with people such as

friends, relatives, co workers etc.

With the rise of smart phones this social interaction has been

brought to an entirely different level through various different

applications focusing on different sorts of interactions.

We often end up losing contact with our friends &

relatives over the course of our busy lives. As time has passed by, the gap between these relations has increased for various different reasons.

The application we are focusing on, targets the relationship between friends & relatives (uncles, aunts, cousins, etc).

Our goal is to make the bond between families and friends stronger by bringing them closer together.

It is an app that provides users

with ability to text in groups.

It provides continuous update

among various users of

location and placement.

Viber & Whatsap

Viber lets its user to interact with each other using free calls and messages.

Whatsap is an app that encourages its users to interact on one on one basis

using SMS chats.

Demographics & Key-findings

Middle Class to Upper Middle Class people.

Direct Relatives and Indirect Relatives.

Both relations from Maternal and Paternal Family.

We interviewed around 12 of our cousins from both Maternal and Paternal side. 6 adults, aunts and uncles (Phupho, Khala, Chacha,etc).

It can end if the parents start teaching their children the moral values of family and how important they are from the first day. Then and only then, is their responsibility fulfilled and it’s their child’s job

to carry on the work.

Love and concern for each other.

Everyone should take time out at least once in a week for their parents, brothers, sisters , friends and arrange get-togethers.

have a more social experience.

One to one chat is unnatural, conversations in the real

world are mostly grouped.

Adding emotional value

Send invites to your non-social cousins or friends, by sending old pictures where you are tagged together. (This will Emotionally

motivate them to think for a minute to accept the invitation and join Grouper.)

After meeting at a restaurant or a café share your experiences by uploading photos or check-ins through Grouper on Facebook. (which will aware your friends or family member about your

hangout and automatically motivate them to join you in the next hangout.)

You can go through past experiences, to remember the memories and get another reason to chat.

Timely reminders when people you haven't talked to in a while are up.

A reminder every other week specially on weekends to increase the probability of the user talking to them.

Resolves problems with people being in different time zones.

Alerts on any ongoing event in the country/area if the user hasn't talked in a month to encourage a topic to converse about.

Create groups for communication, no one to one chat.

Increases the likely hood of getting a conversation started.

Allows people in the group to send invites for going to events or dining together.

Users have a calendar linked to their smart phone app which is accessible, so check if everyone calendar is free for a weekend then encourage everyone in the group to create a meetup.
