DESCRIPTION
THE SOLUTION The proposal consists of a new urban pole generated by the existing breach in the medieval wall right on the site where the 3 different fabrics collide. The complex is formed by two principal volumes: the southern one, hosting the art galleries and facing the church and the northern one, more dynamic, where a public center of interfaith studies has been put up. The northern one has a green roof which is at the same time an esplanade facing the student residence and a terminus point of the pedestrian alley. The ground 0 of the proposal hosts the new agora (square) above the common basement floor which encourages the ‘parcours’ and an interactive performing space.TRANSCRIPT
