Input by Dr. Orlov / potential topics:
1. Bedrest as a space flight model – data can also compared and applied toother modelsystems
To get more groups involved, during the ISLSWG an announcementshould be given, concerning standardization of measurements appliedduring the bed rest studies.
2. Dr. Graef added:Bedrest studies should be seen in combination with artificial gravityexperiments and developments – these topics should be focused by IAAand use the IAA platform for publication of data obtained.
The access to the int. community regarding the combination of severalgroups in respect to standardization should be discussed during theISLSWG Meetings.
- All topics should be "put on the table" during the IAA meeting inMarch 2019.
- In addition, studies in Antarctica should be addressed to combinethem into the overall context.
- ISS has to be seen as an extended platform- After standardization as outlined above, the access to ISS is of
utmost importance to propose future planetary missions.- Parallel studies organized by IBMP+DLR+NASA Houston have to be
envisaged for the near future on the above topics.
