International Bread Fair International Bread Fair in Jaworin Jawor

Jawor is the site of the „International Bread Fair”. This is a promotional venture and it’s role is to showcase not only the baking industry, but also the city’s and the region’s qualities.

The International Bread Fair takes place in Jawor each year since 1997. This big celebration gathers the best bakers and confectioners/pastry chefs from accross .

For three days visitors and local residents can admire champions who demonstrate the craft of baking, followed by degustation of various breads and cakes. In the past, there were other countries taking part in the trade fair, including  Belarus, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany and  France. Last year Jawor hosted over 65 thousand bread lovers.

One of the sculptures made for the competition in the art of bread-baking. Most of them are a human-size... It is really hard to stop thinking about biting them.
