THIS IS WHERE YOUR TRANSFORMATION BEGINS
An MBA programme is more than just another credential to add to your CV; at EADA Business School, we believe it is a process of transformation. Time and time again, our graduates tell us that they are not the same person as when they started the programme. It is our pleasure to guide you through this journey in which you will learn, develop and grow as a professional and as a person.
With more than 50 years of experience, EADA has a solid reputation built on international rankings and accreditations. Our highly practical methodology is based on work in small, multicultural groups and personalised follow-up by experienced faculty. Our faculty have extensive managerial experience in top companies, and are trained in effectively linking theory to professional practice in the classroom.
The foundation of EADA’s International MBA is the development of the managerial skills needed to succeed in the global business world. Today, managers must possess the personal competencies and global strategic vision to drive diverse teams in a variety of environments. In fact, we have a Residential Training Centre dedicated exclusively to the development of these skills through outdoor training, role-plays and business simulations.
EADA prides itself on its personalised follow-up at all stages of the programme. And that’s just what you’ll get: regular one-to-one meetings, individual coaching sessions, a personal tutor for team projects and an open door policy, all designed to make your transformation as smooth as possible.
The MBA team is here to support and guide you through your transformation process. As the MBA Director, I will ensure that you are challenged and that you get the most
out of your time here.
I look forward to seeing you at EADA in the fall!

International MBA | 6GETTING THE BEST OUT OF YOU
GETTINGTHE BESTOUT OF YOU
At EADA Business School, we are committed to getting the best out of you by developing your management skills to their full potential. Being effective
in today's business world requires managers who are dedicated to the constant improvement of personal and professional skills. To this end, International MBA participants develop a personalised Action Plan and take part in 3 personal and professional development modules in our exclusive Residential Training Centre.
THE EADA-RESIDENTIAL TRAINING CENTRE
COACHING
YOUR ACTION PLAN
EADA has its own residential training centre dedicated to the personal and professional development of its participants. In the Centre, you will develop the emotional intelligence, problem-solving skills and leadership capabilities it takes to be an effective manager, through outdoor training, role plays and team-building activities.
EADA is the only business school in Europe with its own specially designed outdoor activity facilities, located in the forest surrounding the Residential Training Centre. These facilities provide high impact, lasting learning by pushing participants out of their comfort zone. You will undertake challenges that give insight into your skills in a variety of areas including communication, delegation, motivation and leadership. This experiential learning is combined with professor-led workshops focused on team and leadership theory, ensuring that you effectively transfer what you have learned to the workplace.
Through dynamic face-to-face interviews, you will work with a coach to identify and define objectives, discover new resources and approaches, establish workplace action plans, generate new insights and perspectives and align your efforts.
As an MBA participant, you will design an Action Plan that goes hand-in-hand with the modules in the Residential Training Centre. The Action Plan promotes personal development awareness and provides the tools to make decisions about your professional future. You will choose the competencies to develop and monitor during the programme, defining the starting point and the areas of improvement, as well as identifying the most relevant actions, resources and indicators. The Action Plan aims to improve employability and prepare you for the challenges of reentry into the labour force after graduation.
GETTING THE BEST OUT OF YOU7 | International MBA
Florencia Magistocchi, Argentina Planning, Reporting & Cash, Danone Iberia / Barcelona, Spain
“ In the EADA-Residential Training Centre, we were physically and mentally separated from the day-to-day activities of Barcelona, so we can focus on analysing and improving ourselves. I learned to identify a clear objective when leading a team, and the importance of having well-informed, committed team members.”
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
LEADING ONESELF LEADING OTHERS, LEADING TEAMS
STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP
The degree to which managers can deepen their personal and professional capacities and acquire new skills is often a determining factor in their individual success and that of their organisations. In the context of today's rapidly changing and demanding
business environment, communication skills, the ability to work effectively in teams, leadership and the capacity to creatively resolve differences are among the most valuable managerial competencies. In the EADA International MBA, these skills are developed over 3 modules: Leading Oneself, Leading Others and Teams and Strategic Leadership.
This module initiates a process of reflection (followed by action)
designed to develop the key competencies for effective
leadership. You will gain insight into your profile and learn how
to accurately measure future progress.
This module incorporates the leadership competencies
identified in module one, paying special attention to your
individual profile and leadership style. The focus is on managing
individual and group efforts effectively through negotiation.
This module analyses leadership as a tool in ethical decision-
making, focusing on its role in innovation and transformation.
You will learn the importance of flexibility in effective leadership and the challenge of considering the multiple interests of diverse
stakeholders.
International MBA | 8LEARNING BY DOING
LEARNINGBY DOING
OUR UNIQUE METHODOLOGY
THE CURRICULUM
At EADA Business School, we are committed to our unique ‘learning by doing’ methodology; this practical approach is in our DNA. Our methodology reflects companies’ demand for professionals with skills such as the capacity to reflect, the ability to act in the face of change, the versatility to work in multifunctional teams and the adaptability to face the challenges of a global environment.
In the EADA-Barcelona city centre campus, you will be consistently placed in real-life business situations, challenged to think like an executive and make strategic decisions through case studies, business simulations, analysis and group discussions. We provide an engaging, multicultural environment in which you will examine case studies and interact in small classes. You will learn from others as they learn from you.
EADA has developed its own practical, active and participatory approach with an emphasis on ‘learning by doing’. Classes in EADA are small, allowing for the daily exchange of ideas and debate among classmates and the personal guidance from professors that is so critical to our methodology.
At EADA, we believe in the case method, which places you in the role of decision maker for real business issues. Class discussions are lively and the focus is on communication skills as participants are encouraged to debate, persuade and defend viewpoints. Work groups are changed regularly, to take full advantage of the diversity in class. In this environment, professors assume the role of moderator, facilitating discussion and constructively questioning the decisions presented by participants.
Throughout the MBA curriculum, a strong emphasis is placed on the integral learning processes. EADA uses a blend of techniques, which focus on problem solving and include knowledge areas, skills, attitudes and values to facilitate personal development. Training adopts a human approach, which encourages individual learning, group interaction, knowledge sharing and innovation.
The core courses are organised into three main groups: Management Fundamentals, Developing Functional Expertise and Integrating Business Knowledge, each building on the knowledge and skills acquired in the last. You then customise your learning by selecting a specific ‘Path of Development’ (strategic specialisation) that provides the opportunity to gain the in-depth knowledge required for a career in the chosen field. Components such as business simulations and the Final Business Project allow you to regularly apply what you are learning to the business challenges faced by some of today’s leading companies. This ensures that you will quickly be able to apply your new skills in the workplace after graduation.
LEARNING BY DOING9 | International MBA
FINAL BUSINESS PROJECTIn the Final Business Project, the emphasis is on ‘live’ learning; here you will have the opportunity to apply what you have learned to a project chosen by you. The Project may be related to your chosen Path of Development or focused on another area.
The Project is carried out in small groups to take full advantage of the diversity of nationalities and profiles in the classroom. Your group will have a personal tutor, who will be there to guide and support you.
Within the overall programme design, the Final Project forms a large and fundamental part of the methodological approach to learning in EADA. The development of the project is the final step in a year of learning, which allows mobilising knowledge, attitudes and competencies within the framework of business management.
The Final Business Project provides an excellent opportunity to experience sectors or roles you are unfamiliar with, build networks with a view to your post-MBA career goals or find out first-hand if you have what it takes to be an entrepreneur.
Koken Kircalioglu, Turkey Manager, Prospect Conversion & On-Boarding Optimization, American Express / Toronto, Canada
“ EADA’s practical ‘learning by doing’ approach really stood out to me. In today’s fast-changing business world, memorisation is no longer considered an asset. Managers need to possess different skill sets. Whether through case studies, business projects, simulations or team-building activities, EADA’s approach helped me sharpen these competencies, preparing me for what was to come.”

RESEARCHOur research mission is based on producing and providing new knowledge to participants by working on research projects of direct relevance both to them and to the companies in which they may work. EADA believes that high-quality research contributes very significantly to teaching excellence by ensuring that faculty is up-to-date on the latest knowledge in their field and through the ability to offer research-based teaching of greater added value.
EADA hosts a number of Centres of Excellence (among others, the Global Innovation Management Centre, Retail Management Centre and Corporate Sustainability Impact Centre). Through these Centres, we aim to carry out research that has an impact on companies and their activities and that can be specifically incorporated in the company strategy, with clearly defined impact and returns.
OUR FACULTY11 | International MBA
PRACTICAL TEACHINGThe faculty at EADA Business School has a well-established reputation of teaching excellence with a focus on practical management skills and personal development. EADA relies upon the balance between academic excellence and professional experience within its faculty and we strongly believe in a pedagogic model that derives from our origins in executive training.
Our learning model is designed to achieve your full personal development potential. Training is primarily oriented to the development of skills and competencies more than academic theory and research, focusing on the solution of management problems. The role of the professor is to ‘facilitate’ rather than impart knowledge - reproducing real-world experiences which demand your involvement and action - and tutor your learning process. Regular feedback from professors and classmates reinforces this process.
CORPORATE LINKS CONTRIBUTION TO THE COMMUNITY
With more than 120 Associated Companies and over 180 adjunct faculty members who are acting managers as well as part time tutors, corporate links drive EADA Business School. As an executive training centre, EADA understands that being close to business is one of the central pillars of its activity. For this reason, EADA encourages faculty to undertake consultancy and board membership activities as a way of enriching participants’ learning process by confronting them with real-life examples of business challenges and management decision processes.
EADA is also linked with the corporate world through the work of its Competence Centres (Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre and EU-Asia Global Business Research Centre), funded projects (primarily in collaboration with the EU) and the business networks developed as a result of the collaboration between case researchers and companies.
EADA Business School is strongly committed to sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), promoting these principles among all of its stakeholders. EADA actively contributes to the community through its adoption of the United Nations’ PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education) and collaboration with Global Compact, the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative. These initiatives ensure that CSR and sustainability principles are an integral part of our teaching and research activities. In line with the PRME, EADA offers a number of courses (both core courses and electives) that ensure that participants are familiar with the latest approaches, strategies and tools in the sustainability field.
As a Foundation, EADA has developed its own CSR Plan, designed to connect participants with the wider community. To this end, throughout the year, participants are invited to take part in activities and projects with a positive social and environmental impact on the surrounding community. Moreover, is committed to the principles of the ‘Triple Bottom Line’, aiming to provide participants with a well-rounded vision, integrating social, environmental and financial perspectives in each course.

PATHS OFDEVELOPMENT
At EADA Business School, we are determined to get the best out of you and to help you evolve on a personal and professional level.
PATH OF DEVELOPMENT
GLOBAL INNOVATION MANAGEMENT
At EADA, we define Innovation as the profitable application of creativity. More precisely, innovation is about creating products, processes, and organisational
models that have a direct impact on the performance of the company, either
in terms of increases in turnover (product or service innovations) or improvements in
efficiency (process and organisational innovations). Innovation Management has become
a top priority for managers. It provides a strong competitive advantage and is one of the best ways to speed up the rate-of-change and adaptation to the global environment.
CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE & MULTICHANNEL MANAGEMENT
In recent years, Supply Chain Management and retailing have been viewed as one of the last frontiers where companies can gain true competitive advantage via customer experience.
Failing to understand the functions of these two areas is like failing to understand
the needs of your most important client, the shopper. Whether traditional commerce,
e-commerce, mobile commerce or social commerce, companies need to engage their shoppers by offering and managing a unique multichannel customer experience.
